To be fair though, I'm not sure it's just because you're a woman as much as it's because you're a woman with a small child. I still get mansplained to but that period of time between when the Urchling was born and she hit school age was truly some next level bullshit. So I'm wondering if that's not coming into play somewhat because you've mentioned your toddler in your writings frequently.

I don't know. Its like theres some kind of societal pushback over the fact that small kids need special considerations but being obviously jealous of the kid is right up there with boiling puppies so they take it out on mom instead by being completely dismissive.

And it's so stupid. Yes, moms are laser focused on their kids which is how it should be because those first 5 years are SO crucial in SO many ways. But, 9 times out of 10 everyone benefits from that laser focus so why get your drawers in a bunch over something that will likely benefit you other than jealousy over not being the focus? Do these folks really need the limelight that much? It's crazy.
