Well, they won’t likely round you up. That’s just to give the death squads a veneer of "legitimacy". Because you’ll have been "duly convicted of the crime of homosexuality".

In reality, these preachers are inciting murder, plain and simple. When one of their flock acts on the incitement, it’s going to go one a few ways, but there likely won’t be a round up. It will more likely be a spree of hitting one preselected target after another. They’ll be able to murder dozens before the cops catch up to them if they keep moving, select predictable targets, and plan it out. If it’s multiple assailants working in coordination, the death toll could reach a hundred easy because eye witness reports will be obfuscated. If they’re smart enough to swap cars through the spree it could go on for days.

The other most likely scenario is something akin to Kristallnacht. It will be militant, they’ll come in the dead of night and drag you out of your home, shoot you in the head and string you up. It will be lynchings.

Once that happens, we’re de facto in open civil war, especially if the murderers get treated like Rittenhouse by the injustice system. But that won’t bring back the dead.

And it’s no comfort to those in the cross hairs of religious lunatics. Maybe it’s better to have a clearer idea of what to prepare for though. You’re less likely to be paralyzed by fear and more likely to act. Secure your house. Keep an eye on your surroundings. Arm yourself. Look to your legal documentation together to gather video surveillance and things like that. Maybe think about getting a lawyer if you don’t have one and if you can. Keep an eye on those churches in your area. Take a look at the members, especially the men and most especially ones glorifying guns online and be aware if they start stalking you. Do not hesitate to get a restraining order against them as soon as you have enough evidence to. Put together a safety community to keep each other safe.

Do everything you can think of to stay safe out there. You’re not over reacting.
