Average means you're just like everyone else, not mediocre.

In the bell shaped curve, it puts you where the majority of people are, right under that big hump in the middle.

There's a problem with labelling yourself "mediocre". It actually has two definitions and because of that it turns average into bad.

Average is not bad. It's average. It's where most of us live. Are you saying that 80% or more of the population is of low worth and quality?

Only 10% of the population or less is truly sub par, and a waste of oxygen. Ironically, more often than not, they think they're the cat's meow.
