We have to remember that as long as we hold the door open for those behind us, every bit of progress makes that step easier for those who follow. It’s not a competition. Just because others are dying for basic human rights on the other side of the world doesn’t mean you’re owed or have to tolerate shitty behavior and treatment in your own life.

We can advocate for the women of Iran AND for the women of Palestine AND for the women of Africa AND for the women of the West and for ALL women.

And I get you. I’m tired too. It just never ends. It does seem like DEI is just another unnecessary job heaped on an already overflowing plate to make someone else (corporations are people, you know) feel better about themselves with little to no benefit for the woman doing all that work.
