We don't need to be empowered. We've had medical decisions where they belong, between Patient and Provider.

What we need is to not be dispowered and disenfranchised from health care. And that IS happening.

If you can be put in jail if you ever used drugs and are now pregnant (looking at you Etowah County AL) , then why would you go to the doctor for anything? Even something as simple as the flu or a sinus infection could potentially land you in jail, held without charge or trial, if you're pregnant, even if you didn't know it.
