We don't have a stable society. We have the veneer of one. Not the same thing.

In order to have a trust first society, you have to have a fair shake Commons and social structure. You have to have functional deterents against those who would and do exploit others.

We do not have that. We're no where near that.

Have things been worse. Sure. But that doesn't change the fact that they both could.ve and should be better.

But they're not getting better. They're getting worse.

Like I said, it's not like anyone wants things to be this way. But this IS where we are. Pretending otherwise is just sticking your head in the sand.

That too, is an interesting choice to make.
