We also need for the social standing of perpetrators and victims to not affect the outcome of accusations and justice.

We need victims to be provided safety from potential retribution so that they can come forward. You’re right, it needs to be anonymous from the public.

We need to detach societal shame from abuse. It really doesn’t help when society punishes victims more severely than the justice system punishes perpetrators.

We need something maybe attached to the legal system but not part of it as it is now.

The problem with the legal system is that it is built on long standing ideas of ownership and bias, an aristocratic code, in the end.

The question is, can new legal codes ever fully erase what was unfair and unjust for so long in the same system? Here in the States, we can’t even get an ERA passed. Those same people are the ones choosing judges. The same people who finance the politicians are the same ones who finance education in legal universities.

The status quo benefits them. They get a pass because they can buy a trial.

How can such a system, and all the others that feed into it ever be truly just, or make right the egregious way it has failed.
