I'm not sure where you got the "evil" part. The author didn't say that. He specifically said comparisons to Nazis were incorrect.

I disagree, but that's what he said. Also, as an organization they are rapists and murderers. Not individually, of course, but neither were the Nazis. As individuals they were complicit I'm the atrocities of the broader organization. So are Evangelicals. They've been hiding and supporting sexual predators for years, just like the Catholic Church. That's a fresh scandal. 750 known predator targeting a whole lot of children.

Their willingness to believe a Big Lie about abortion being used as birth control has led to total bans. There are already false imprisonments and women dying because they are being denied necessary reproducrive health care. That's murder, my friend. State sanctioned murder.

We don't look back at history and see Nazis as innocent whether they actively participated in the atrocities or not. They will be reviled for all time. And hey, Nazis sponsored some good things and improvements too. They're still reviled.

It will and should be the same for Evangelicals.
