Very well written. I think we’re all getting this more from different groups. My thinking tends to be that the rise of social media has made us all lose our mental filters, the algorithms are bombarding us with too much like material (the more something is said, the more true it becomes — in the absence of constant and purposeful critical thinking ), and the Donald Trump phenomenon is eroding any national impetus for people to check themselves. The rest of us have to stay diligent to not fall into that trap ourselves (hate leads to hate) and step out of the awkwardness more to call it out when we can. Stay strong brother.
