Ummm, that was satire and sarcasm.

I am a woman, so no, I DO NOT think women have spiritually weak little hearts. It is women who uphold both religion and culture. How could they do so with spiritually weak hearts?

They couldn’t. Women are oak trees and Rowan trees. They are mountain stream, rain, and sea.

Yeah, I was being snarky with that, my man. It’s a backhanded reference to Alieto’s leaked SC decision where he quotes and references Matthew Hale, the witch burner.

That was something often said by Matthew Hale for why women couldn’t be trusted to hold positions of power, needed a man to care for them, and need to be subjugated by a man. Because they were inherently spiritually corrupt by their very nature and would inevitably lead a man to his (spiritual) doom, meaning hell, if they were not kept under control.

I’m southern; the "bless their hearts" was supposed to be the clue about the snark. In southern culture the phrase is universally known to be passive aggressive. I thought it was more widely known now though because Jeff Foxworthy had a comedic bit about "bless their hearts" for years and he was popular and successful enough as a standup to get his own show.

I guess you missed it.

And no, not ignorant. Sorry, not sorry.
