Ugh. Yeah, it's jarring to be driving down an old country road or highway, enjoying the pastoral view, and then having that gorgeous landscape broken up by some gaudy eyesore McMansion.

My former neck of the woods....all the barns already had 'See Rock City' painted on the roofs, paid for by Rock City. Most of those old barns have lived their life cycle and there aren't many left. But the ones remaining are historical landmarks now. Can you imagine some HOA demanding they be painted over in some tacky way?

Ugh. Just ugh.

What's next? Disallowing fall corn mazes and pumpkin festivals? So there can be more pretentious McMansions only 3 people live in?
