Two points. Your right wing comment was a bit snarky. I’m not a conservative but I have watched Sweden’s approach with interest and hope and still think that they’re more likely on the right track FOR THEM because (2nd point) you’re judging them a failure before the race is done. You’re taking time out of the equation. It’s an inaccurate assessment based on political spin not real life.

Lastly, my interest in Sweden doing well by their strategy should in no way be taken as a push to try that strategy elsewhere. I’m in the US, and while I absolutely still think that Sweden made the best choice for Sweden and we’ll see that in the end, in no way do I think that strategy would have been effective here. On the contrary, it would have been a disaster. Perhaps even worse than the disaster we have now from years of systemic erosion of healthcare and infrastructure, political polarization, and weak, contradictory response.

Not sure what country you’re from, but it seems kind of poor form to call Sweden a failure when so many others have failed so much worse. Kind of the pot calling the kettle black.
