Truth to that. Unless you grew up in a feminist household, you didn't normally grow up longing to be a feminist. You either didn't think much about it either way, or you had a fairly bad impression of it thanks to the relentless maligning of it since it's inception.
It was experience with men and women who drove you toward feminism. Sometimes even your own fathers and mothers. Religion is a big driver too, lot of feminists have come from and are recovering from purity culture.
