Trump didn't corrupt Evangelicals.

They were already corrupt.

I'd argue that the Republicans were too.

And SCOTUS was well on its way, more due to Mitch McConnell than Trump. Trump just cinched in the corruption with his nominations. But let's not also forget that confirmation happens by Congress.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Trump. But we don't do ourselves any favors if we fail to realize he was a tool for corrupt elements already present and at work.

You've got to treat the root. Otherwise, the rot will just pick another tool and spread elsewhere.
