True. The narrative makes it sound like men don't have any choice in the matter.

But they do. They actually get first choice because they're the ones asking women out on dates. That means for every woman asked out, every other woman is rejected by that man, at least temporarily.

Further, it frames rejection of dating as rejection of a man. One male commenter said he got really resentful of women durinf the age 18 to 21 because they wouldn't go out with him, or were on again off again with what he labeled as bad boyfriends.

This ignores the fact that many people, but maybe more women than men don't want to date during their college years. Or, they don't want to date just for the sake of dating. It's a lot to keep up with, and get an education, and finance that education, and care for family (in some cases).
