True, but we also need to remember that culturally, we are sex obsessed.
We have religions that make sexual expression taboo.
Marketing campaigns that use sex or the promise, hint, or allire of sex to sell us things bombard us all day.
We have technolgies developes that have reeuces many of the physical consequences of sex, which is good, but it's made us neglect the emotional consequences of it, which has been devastating.
We raise our children in ignorance about sex and then cut them loose, still ignorant, at 18 to fumble around.
There's a lot of entitlement around sex but also media makes it seem like some people are getting all the snacks while other are left out.
Dating apps have replaced serendipitous meetings.
And none of these things are natural. They're things we've created. Ideologies, systems, and technologies. None of it is natural.
So while the sexual impulse, drive, desire, etc may still be natural....if you want it to be 'remembered', especially as an excuse to dismiss societal problems then don't do so without ALSO remembering that the environment that natural impulse has to exist and operate in is no longer natural and, clearly, is working against the true nature of sex.
