I think if Jesus were to time travel from then to now and see how warped his efforts to change and spiritually evolve humanity have become, he would despair and be ashamed of a great many of us. He would think as a body, we’ve learned nothing at all.

He’d be right.

And yes, Jesus the man, knew profound despair.
