To the victims of rape, I say plan B. It’s available over the counter now for, like $50.00. You are given a plan B pill at the hospital if you report rape. I think/hope we’ll be seeing more rapes reported.

Up until 10 weeks, you can get the abortion pill via mail for around $100.00. That’s not exorbitantly expensive for most women. There are grants for those who can’t afford the price, the truly impoverished.

Long story short, I think that women are going to have to plan for being raped before hand, rather than scrambling around desperate for a solution after the fact while you’re traumatized. Have a plan in place before hand and follow your SOP.

As part of mine and for my daughter, we have money set aside in a special account that we’ve been adding to. It’s for more than just that, but handling the fallout from rape is definitely part of what that fund is for. There’s enough to cover the cost of a rape kit, a hospital visit, a lawyer, and therapy. I’m not wealthy either, but it’s long been obvious that if something were to happen, it would be on me to deal with. Nothing’s changed here.
