This and the other bit I highlighted.

There was no original sin. And what you describe is an archetype of perfection that cannot be or be maintained indefinitely and isn’t perfect to begin with. Not for those around you. Uh-uh. nope.

So you twist yourselves into knots trying to be something that doesn’t truly exist and never has, makes your presence intolerable to the people you care about because in truth you care more about measuring up to an abstract ideal based on ancient mythology than you do them, live in cognitive dissonance because you’re living a lie and deep down you know you’ll never measure up to that standard (no one does), and dig your own early graves in the process when you’re not beating everyone else with the cudgel of “manhood”.

Don’t you think it’s well past time to put the shovel down? Can’t you see how much better off we’d all be? Wouldn’t you like your internal life to be one of peace rather than being so fragile and high strung? Do you think that abandoning false dichotomies will make you evil? Are you afraid of freedom?
