They're not babies. They're potential babies currently existing as clumps of cells. So no. I don't care about them as much as I care about the already living, breathing, autonomous mother and the children she may already have. When they can exist outside the womb autonomously, then they have legal standing, rights of personhood, and a place in society and not a fucking minute before.

And I hate to break it to you but you're not stopping abortions. You're only making them illegal and invisible. Abortions have always been a sad, but necessary part of life.

Regardless of the statistical breakdown you're hinging your arguments on, all the band are soing is making pregnancies with complications more dangerous, medically necessary abortions unavailable to those who need them, and eventually reproductive healthcare unavailable for all women. Why would anyone go into OB/GYN when it can land you on jail?
