They never seem to read their own Bible.
Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Romans 12:3
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned
3 John 1:9-10
have written something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority. So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.
2 Corinthians 6-14
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Matthew 23:23-24
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
Matthew 23:15
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.

Matthew 23:13

And so forth and so on. There are TONS of passages and teachings admonishing believers to not be blind followers. To weigh the words and practices of leaders and hold them accountable. To not let it slide lest corruption infiltrate the faith. To take the side of the oppressed. To not shut out those who would seek the kingdom of God (like LGBTQ). To uplift and not condemn. To not foment hate and hysteria. To keep your eyes on the spiritual and make sure you stay in alignment with Christ.
There is no place for the hate spewing from evangelicals in the kingdom of God. Other Christians should have been speaking out a long time ago, just as Catholics should have when it became obvious there was a problem. Several times over.
