They may have more options than your or my generation had. Theyre opting out, quiet quitting because they can. Jobs are a dime a dozen now. They're still exploitative, always have been. But if you make a job a disposable job because the woeker who does that job is disposable, then....you're setting your business up for failure. Too much turnover will stiffle a business. And since young people are also opting out of reproducing and even dating, then corporations can't depend upon that trap of needing a consistent paycheck to keep workers from walking out. Housing too. If no matter how hard they work doesn't buy them a house, you can't keep that mortgage payment to ensure they show up.
