They know exactly who he is. They just think it’s okay so long as it puts conservative judges on the bench. So long as abortion is made illegal. So long as it’s fixed so only the right people vote. So long as poor people don’t get helped up and out of poverty. So long as corporations are allowed to continue crushing the working class.

They think any Republican, no matter how grotesque, is better than a Democrat.

It’s telling that Trump used to be a Democrat. He ran as a Republican because the Democratic party would not support him as a candidate. That was made clear to him years ago.

So, why didn’t Republicans ask themselves…if any candidate is better than a Democrat because they tolerate immorality, just how awful does this guy have to be that even the Democrats wouldn’t have him as a candidate? He’s even famous.

They should have asked themselves some more pointed questions.

In the end, they got exactly what they asked for. There is no where near enough buyer’s remorse to think any better of their motives.
