They don’t have to actually. People need to become acquainted with jury nullification but in reverse. And go in prepared to hang a jury when a judge is so blatantly putting his thumb on the scale to protect a white supremacist.

It only takes one.

People will take exception to this, and I get it. I didn’t come to this line of thinking easily or flippantly.

The question is, what choice is there when the courts have been packed with right wing conservatives pushing an elitist agenda and Congress/the President will not mitigate that damage. The court is supposed to be blind, not a political cudgel to beat the populace with. Jury nullifications /hung juries / reverse nullifications are the people’s last line of defence.

And maybe, just maybe enough reverse nullifications will finally force much needed conversations and legislation about gun violence in this country.
