I guess gold diggers are too, to be fair, but you're right, other than in media it's much more rare to see women talking so casual about it. I see men complaining about it all the time, but until recently, I've never heard of a woman being obsessed IRL like that from anyone I've ever known.

It's like the complaints about feminists putting down or having a problem with stay at home moms. You hear/read a lot of folks saying feminists have a problem with stay at home moms and talking trash, but there's never any sources given and when you go look yourself, you never see it. They might be saying they could never do it and more likely that it should be a choice, they don't want it forced on them. That's not the same thing at all as having a problem with traditional labor arrangements per se.

Anyway, for my friend's son, it wasn't this massive problem. He just flagges the waiter, canceled the order, and ended the date right then and there. He put her in an Uber or Lyft that she paid for and that was that.
