There's not been any polling that I'm aware of.

It's just been women I dependently responding to a hypothetical question posed over the internet.

And then the resultant commentary.

You understand it was a man talking to other men about dating or something that kicked the whole thing off, don't you?

Yeah. It was a guy talking about why women won't give a guy a chance when the cold approach on the street or something along those lines. Anyway, he made the comment that due to violence against women, women had to be hyper vigilant to keep ourselves safe to the point where...."they would rather encounter a random bear than a random man if they wrre alone in the woods".

The men lost their damn minds over this statement and started arguing logistics.

So the OC guy or someone else went out on the streets of England (looked like London) and startre askiby random women on the street, "if you are alone in the woods, would you rather cross paths with a random bear or a random man?"

Then he posted the clip on TikTok. Out of 9 women or so that were shown, only 1 said man, after some hesitation.

Proving the OC correct.

Interestingly, most of the wime reasoned that the bear would be more likely to leave you alone than the man would, but other than being unmolested or approached in any way or for any reason, nothing else was said or assumed.

Men lost their damn minds again anyway. It was them that actually made it be about sexual assault and death.

By their insistance that the bear is going to attack you, kill your and eat your face off.

There's a whole lot of Freudian projection in the collective male gaslighting about bears.

You're demonizing bears to make yourselves look better. It's be funny if it wasn't so fucking pathetic.

Hence the meme now making the rounds: You either understand why we choose the bear or you're the reason why women choose the bear.
