There's another option about who Jesus was that doesn't include liar, lunatic, or Lord. Jesus never actually claimed divinity.

How about he was a human man, a scholar and a tradesman (as considered at the time), a leader, a humanist, a critic, a teacher, a pacifist, and a revolutionary thinker.

In a lot of ways he seems to have been someone who favored the end of religion as well because it's clear he felt organized religion separated people from the truth and nature of God.
