There's a lot of truth here. Most times I've intervenes, I came up on the situation as it was unfolding. I saw the lead up, in other words but from afar. People right there froze.

When I've been right there, unless I'm in harm's way, I tend to freeze too. It takes you a minute to figure out what's going on. It's usually over with by then.

And yeah, diffusion strategies are better than physical intervention.
