There's a harsh truth here too. Too many of us continue to defer to this type of behavior, and others, in the moment and then complain about it afterwards, taking up the time and space of our colleagues our subordinates, our friends, and our families.
You're right, on the whole men do not care about the continuation of sexist behavior. They have no reason to. We women do, but we're also the least likely to push back.
Sometimes it seems like we spend too much energy and time looking for excuses not to. Any and every excuse in the world to not be bold. And then we're jealous and spiteful toward the women who do choose boldness.
I’ve been on both ends of this way too many times before I check myself. I think that’s true of a lot of us.
