There'snot the disparity you imagine. There are plenty of men who humorously use female stereotypes to great applause of men and women, yes, even feminist women, all the time.
But there is a line there where things stop being funny and drift into pecking, hate, derision and scorn, etc. It's not that fine a line either, but men seem to have a problem noticing it.
Rape and IPV jokes, for example, never funny.
Jokes about the difficulties caused by high heeled shoes? Funny.
It's not that fine a line.
My daughter was just making fun of a flossing commercial based on female stereotypes. Funny as hell. Because it didn't punch down on women, it just humorously poked at beauty expectations women are held to.
