There were less than 10k cases of tuberculosis in the US in 2018, not 10 million. Around 500 died. That’s an almost negligible death rate, population wide and while it is a higher death rate among those infected with Covid-19, it’s no where near as infectious.
Also, tuberculosis can now be cured within 3 months if caught early. There still is no standard treatment for Covid-19. It’s still hit or miss.
Also, there are very few people who are asymptomatic carriers of tuberculosis, also unlike Covid.
Not really a fair or equitable comparison. And you’ve clearly inflated numbers to suggest response to Covid is just hysteria.
The health care system can only handle so many patients at a time. Wearing masks has always been more about preserving the healthcare system than 100% protection from Covid-19 and buying time to learn how to treat it and develop a vaccine.
No, you don’t owe any city allegiance forevermore. You’re not a seed and this isn’t the Middle Ages. Move if you want. Just remember, things will be bad in rural areas and smaller cities as well. It will just take longer to get there now. There’s no running away indefinitely for any of us anymore. We’re all going to have to face what’s coming. So choose where you want to make your stand and get ready to take it.
