There is no real testing of long term effects of having Covid either. There is a chance that people who got the virus but did not get significantly sick will have problems later, specifically neurological problems.
If you’re waiting for 100%, you’re just paralyzing yourself out of any kind of meaningful response or reaction. There are no 100% guarantees on anything in life, prole or not.
The questions you have to ask yourself are…
- Is the risk of a vaccine reaction because of compromised immunity higher or lower than your risk of getting significantly sick if you catch it?
- What about your family’s risk? Because you can pretty much count on all of you getting it if one of you does.
- How’s your health insurance?
- How much is it going to hit your wallet comparatively to getting the vaccine?
- Are you ready for funeral expenses? Or long term recovery expenses?
- If we don’t get to herd immunity ASAP, how much longer is the pandemic response going to drag out and what’s that going to look like for you and your family?
- After you put those calculations side by side without your pride and ego throwing off the scale calibrations, what result do you get?
And that’s not even considering the greater good calculations that are a waste of time with these 'people’, though I’ll remind readers of how very eager these same Trumpcolytes were to throw old people under the death bus to save the economic status quo, football season, and clubbing/partying.
In the end, these are the same basic risk/reward calculations men typically over-pride themselves on and thump their chests about. Trump supporters are proving what a load of bunk that masculinity myth is because hubris, ego, and petty revenge are not valid calculation points.
