There are more than a few problems with the mantra of personal responsibility. In addition to what you said, they're not actually facing personal responsibility. Until they actually do, they don't know what it means to be fully responsible or accountable. Until they learn those lessons, nothing is going to change and it will continue to get worse for the actual responsible people as long as that dead weight is carried and cleaned up after.

That guy, the one with the 'tude.... I'm okay letting him die next time. Give that bed and those resources to someone he made sick bitching and moaning about coercion.
