If you think about it....these brokers come off like goddamned slavers, putting women in a catalogue and hosting auctions. It's fucking disgusting. It doesn't resonate that way with these men because 1) they already see women ad a little less human than themselves so it's no different than hiw you'd buy a dog or a horse, and 2) they can't see past their own lonliness enough to fully grasp what they're doing or what the consequences are going to likely be for them. They're buying an illusion from a type of grifter.

That said, there's also all these "reality" TV shows like Married in 90 days and Married at First Sight which are normalizing the idea, even though technically they're tangential to a mail order bride. It's less like being auctioned off. But still.

So I think we're going to be seeing an increase in a lot of things like sex cults, polygamy, mail order brides, child marriages, etc. We already know that trafficking, which IS sexual slavery, is increasing.
