There actually is. Penguins are monogamous so the rock is in there as a romantic gesture to win a girl’s heart. A work colleague from a few years ago had a guy give her a rock with the story to go with it and then her college buddy was gushing about the same romantic gesture from her boyfriend a month or two later. They boyfriends were frat brothers in college.

So yeah, I’m sure a lot of women have been gifted rocks and Antarctic love stories by forgetful/lazy/cheap paramours by now.
