You're concerned about setting a bad precedent of parents running into active crime scenes but ignoring the precedent, probability and inevitability of police inaction. I'll say it again. As that precedent becomes the norm, I'll be damned if I abandon my child to die. Not gonna happen. Other parents will and do feel the same.
