You’re also right about things not always translating well back and forth across the pond. Not just things like sarcasm but experience with certain points of view and slightly different usage of certain words.

In one exchange, it took me a hot minute to figure out you were not using WOKE as a liberal slur as is becoming prevalent here and that you are in fact left leaning yourself. Had I known from the outset you were British that might have been more apparent, especially with the sardonic style. 😉
