The problem with this rationale is that the center ground, here in America, are fence sitters. They will sit on that goddamned fence no matter what. Just sit. They are not invested. They don't care about anything or anyone that does not directly impact them, and often not even then. As long as they're above water. They've tapped out.

They'll say they feel bad about it, but they won't vote. Can't be fussed. Nothing ever changes anyway, yadda yadda yadda. That's where lots of those thoughts and prayers come from too, you know.
