What good is being able to recite the works of Shakespeare if you can't balance your accounts or figure out if a mortgage or a car payment is going to put you underwater?

What good are differential equations if you can't hold down a job because you can't communicate?

I don't see this as a pro for schools either. The same problem exists in both spheres.
