That’s the thing about abuse and always has been. It’s that society co-opts the abuse for entertainment. Society doubles and triples the insult. You suffer an assault and are then ostracized and abandoned for it.

When you think about it, it undermines the reason for having a society in the first place, which is strength in numbers. But if you are always left alone when injured, what’s the point of investing in society in the first place? You give to create and maintain the community. It’s supposed to be reciprocal. So if it not, where’s the return on investment and why continue upholding a dynamic that will destroy you for entertainment?
