That's so true about GPS. People are forever asking me why I never get lost, or lost for long. I'm constantly flabbergasted at how many people can't tell basic directions, even ones that I know for a fact used to know these things because we grew up together and had the same scout training, geography classes, and map reading exercises.

Tell a kid today that maps used to come on paper and you could buy them at any gas station and watch their reaction.
