That's simply not true. He did a lot wrong. Whether or not everything he did wrong down that path that ended with him shooting and killing an unarmed man rises to the level of criminal conduct by legal standards is up to a jury of his peers to decide.

But he's no angel. He lied to his parents. He skirted the law, convincing someone else to illegally buy a weapon on his behalf because he couldn't legally do so. Maybe he violated truancy laws, I admit I don't know Wisconsin or Illinois state law. He was walking around during a protest with an unlicensed (at least to him) assault rifle as a minor. He shot and killed 2 men and wounded a 3rd. Rittenhouse is not a law enforcement officer nor was he deputized to act as one.

He was dressed the part, because his costume fooled actual cops. He wanted to go out and play Call of Duty, so he lied, manipulated, dressed up, and fulfilled his fantasy because he saw an opportunity to.

Remind me again what happens in Call of Duty?
Don't you run around and shoot people? Isn't that how the game goes?

So, no, sir. He did plenty wrong. He went out LARPing for realsies and found out the hard way that life is not a video game. Two men are dead and four families are destroyed as a result, including Kyle's.
