That’s reasonable. I’m going to be honest in that I haven’t read or seen that much about it and I’m taking a break from certain types of commentary for a while. Your article is the first in depth on this event that I’ve read. It was balanced, fair, and well done.
I did read your whole article, not skim so I knew about the drive to Florida. I used to live in Florida, so I know the porn industry is minute there.
That’s what seemed a little off to me. The massage parlors are a pretty specific target that one would think was planned and methodical if not meticulous. The road trip is kinda random and just sloppy. One wonders if this was designed to end via suicide by cop or if he just didn’t want to stop once he shot up the massage parlors.
I was thinking maybe he dated an Asian woman who rejected him so that’s why he went after massage parlors, believing an association between Asian sex workers with massage parlors.
Your reasoning of having frequented them is sound.
I absolutely do believe this is like the yoga studio killings, specifically targeting women.
My point is… that meets the definition of a hate crime. Regardless of whether or not race is involved.
Thanks for responding.
