That’s not what they said. They said they that your selection criteria is shallow and petty and while you might could have had some success with it when you were younger, you’re not young anymore. At 50, one might hope for enough maturity in a man to not use all these cockamamie criteria like no children (even if they’re grown and on their own) and no camping (like she can’t leave you watching the game and go camping with friends -- it’s not like manu folks go camping every single weekend) as excuses to not just admit and deal with the fact that you want to be alone. I actually agree with the commenter.

If you could get to the point of accepting that, you can move forward without having to make yourself and others miserable pursuing something you don’t really want. As long as you’re lying to yourself you’re also out there lying to and manipulating women with false hopes, etc when in the end you’re always going to find something wrong with them because you don’t really want to be in a romantic relationship.
