That's not true. Your side was Roe v Wade. It was as good a compromise as could have been made. If you've ever read the decision in full, it was incredibly thoughtful, compassionate, articulate, and balanced.

But the middle has been mostly silent, especially within the churches as propaganda lies have spread. Nobody spoke out with truth, and in doing so chose the extremist right.

Nobody's been having 35 week abortions, except in extreme medical circumstances because Roe made that illegal. Most babies can be safely delivered well before then, even in most emergencies. Nobody's getting revenge abortions. What the hell? Nobody's getting pregnant just to have an abortion. Nobody is using abortion as a means of birth control, but access to birth control needs to be expanded and it needs to be affordable. It needs to be made available for free to those in extreme poverty who cannot afford it. Nobody should have to jump through so many hoops to get it. No babies are being aborted after they are born.

It's always been more important for Christians to play nice with other Christians for "fellowship" instead of holding each other to account for spreading falsehoods. They don't want to get labeled or ostracized within the Christian community for calling out bullshit when someone, and it's usually a church leader of some sort, starts spreading bullshit. Plus, they seem to really enjoy the show.

So now here we are. Most people clamoring for compromise still do not even see the consequences of what just happened. Or again, they just don't care. So long as they get to continue enjoying the weekly show on Sunday and everyone is "nice" to each other and not too "extreme".
