That’s more on them than it is on Trump.

They knowingly let him into the party and promoted him knowing he was a mobster type grifter.

It’s not like nobody knew who this guy was. He’d already had a long and sordid history of criminal activity.

They didn’t care. They didn’t think ahead, they didn’t consider the consequences, and they wanted him specifically because of the havoc they KNEW he would create. They reveled in it. They just thought it wouldn’t touch them or they would be immune.

They played with fire and now they’re getting burned because they foolishly set the house on fire while they’re locked inside.
