That’s just hysterical nonsense.
Yes, Roe v Wade is likely to be overturned. But the issue will go to the states. It won’t be illegal nationally. And that my dear, is an avenue of response, protest, and eventual solidification of reproductive rights for all of us.
You get to choose which state you want to live in. Those states make money off tax revenue generated by your presence and your work talents.
If reproductive rights mean that much to you, get ready to put your money where your mouth is. Let your husband/boyfriend know that if they can’t or won’t stand with you on this after all the times you’ve sacrificed to support them, then it’s time to reevaluate whether or not it’s worth it to continue your relationship.
If it truly means that much to you, it should be a deal breaker. Plenty of fish in the sea who would fully value you as a human being.
Start getting ready for this eventuality now.
Frankly, a split along those lines will lead to so many good progressive things for those who want them at the state level. People who don’t want progress can move to conservative states and enjoy all the freedumb they want.
Obviously, this will require a reevaluation of the tax burden placement. Less federal control of the purse, more back to the states. They can spend what they can generate at a state level.
