That's good to hear. Wish I could say the same. At my place of work people are still grumbling daily because the company is taking it seriously. They offered up to half a day time off, 2 hrs of which is paid to go get vaccinated.

People bitch and moan when the policy reminder emails go out. They disregard mask mandates and social distancing at work.

I've got 3 subordinates I have to hold their hand through very basic stuff now because they've had Covid and can't remember anything or focus on anything, or they miss stuff because they're getting the runs all the time. They spend half the day in the bathroom some days. They can't think things through. They're mentally muddled like an old person and tired all the time.

Nobody else can tolerate dealing with them. I'm the last one and I'm about fed up. Two of them are still joking about getting Covid. The 3rd one won't stand up to her husband and his apathy is literally killing her.

Beats all I've ever seen.

They're dead weight at work now. That's harsh, but it's true. How's that for economic consequences? At what point does the company does lose too much money keeping them on the payroll? Or, in some industries, at what point is hiring former Covid patients a legal liability because their inability to focus makes them dangerous to other employees?

Nobody's talking about any of that either.

People are foolish. Leadership is foolish. All these businesses trying to preserve the economy at all costs are foolish. You don't have an economy without a work force. You just cut yours off at the knees with your greed. Too many of them cheered you on while you were doing it.

People are foolish.
