That's arguable. Christianity, alongside every other Abrahamic faith traditions has slaughtered millions. Might makes right only stabilizes society by destroying everything else and all resistance. That's not really peace, it's a perpetual state of conquest and colonization.
There's also the unfortunate reality that every time there's a fascist rise, Christian churches tend to fall all over each other to assist with 'correcting' those others. We saw that in Germany. We're seeing it in America today and we saw it during the last quelled fascist uprising in America.
So how exactly is Christianity protection from this impulse when every chance it gets, they're knocking people over to be the first to pick up the stones? When the so called peace - for them - comes at the cost of so much blood, pain, and agony.
Western civilization has annihilated every other culture it's come across, up until more modern times. Christianity has been a significant factor in that. Once Paul began to spread Christianity and morph Jesus' teachings to a militant outlook, what Jesus wanted died in the desert. What Christianity has mostly been is a veneer of enlightenment obscuring the reality of imperialism.
That's only stability for a very few.
