That's a good point. Men would have to betray that ideal to get help from wimen in the first olace because the ideal dictates that women have no value beyond domesticity, and to place any value in "the feminine" bars you from being a man somehow.

And we've seen that play out. The help is there; it's been offered freely. Men don't want it; in general they're refusing it.
